Baby, I Was *Porn* This Way

WARNING: This post contains sexually explicit material. You must be at least 18 years old (21 years in some jurisdictions) to read this... blah blah blah... and all those legal bullsh*t porn disclaimers, which are not implemented at all. In short, please don't read any further if you are not comfortable discussing hardcore pornography.

Ah... you clicked this post because you saw Sasha Grey with her mouth open, huh?
Don't tell me it's because you like her makeup. Dude, please.

You might be asking: Why is Iza Larize writing about porn on her film blog? Well, porn — specifically American porn — is basically like the black sheep of the Hollywood family, mostly residing in San Fernando Valley.

American cinema, commonly known as Hollywood, has produced a number of feature films about the adult film industry. There's Boogie Nights (my favorite), Zack and Miri Make a PornoLovelace, and a lot more. Hmm... seems like Hollywood has been curious about his richer half-brother. (The adult film industry reportedly makes more money than Hollywood.)

When did porn become so huge? I think it all started with 1972's Deep Throat. The rest, as they say, is history. Admit it or not, porn is a business. And business is stronger than ever.
